  We were scheduled to go on a trip starting 7:20 am this morning. After 2 hours of waiting all we know is that they canceled the trip late last night and they didn’t even think to send us an SMS to let us know to make arrangements with another travel agent. So we are up from 6:30 am waiting for NOTHING. In today’s day and age, this is unacceptable.

  Couldn't have been worse.
  
  I booked and payed a tour in Alice Springs with AAT Kings. On the day of the tour, I waited at my hotel to be picked up as it was agreed but nobody showed up. I ended up missing the tour and it was too late for me to book a new one with a different operator.
  
  Just a few minutes after the expected pick up time at my hotel, I called the customer support asking for information about the whereabouts of the tour bus. I was told that my reservation got lost and that the bus had already departed and couldn't U-turn to pick me up. In the evening I emailed the customer support to ask for a refund. AAT Kings's reply was that this process can take *several weeks* to be completed.
  
  Seriosuly consider whether you are willing to rely on a tour operator that might cancel your tour without notice and struggle to reimburse you. You are going to get better value by giving your money to literally anybody else.
